Murders in Chapel Hill
Jewish Voice for Peace New Haven joins national JVP and the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) in grief, shock, and outrage over the murders of three Muslim students in Chapel Hill. We have lost 3 smart, sweet, lovely human beings.
From CAIR: “Based on the brutal nature of this crime, the past anti-religion statements of the alleged perpetrator, the religious attire of two of the victims, and the rising anti-Muslim rhetoric in American society, we urge state and federal law enforcement authorities to quickly address speculation of a possible bias motive in this case.”
From JVP: “We join CAIR and others in the Muslim community in grieving the victims and in calling for an investigation into whether this was a hate crime.”
