Palestinian Groups Found Liable at Manhattan Terror Trial
According to Remember These Children, since September of 2000, 2060 Palestinian children have been killed by Israelis, while 133 Israeli children have been killed by Palestinians. During that time, Israel has conducted 3 heavily destructive wars against a Gaza population that has no where to hide, captive in a small strip of land wedged between a heavily fortified border and the sea. In that same period, Israel has built numerous settlements in the West Bank that are illegal by international law. Israel has demolished Palestinian homes in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, uprooted Palestinian farms that have been planted for generations, and held hundreds of Palestinians in administrative detention without charge for extended periods of time.
When the Palestinian Authority applied for membership in the International Criminal Court so that these and other offenses could be legally reviewed , the United States and Israel reacted with fury and retribution, cutting off aid and withholding tax payments that are due to the P.A. Yet now we hear that Palestinian organizations can be tried and found guilty in an American court.
We mourn for all those who have been killed, and are pained for all those who have suffered through the terror rained on civilian populations. The mourning and the pain have no chance of diminishing until the United States comes to its senses and stops giving Israel the support to act with impunity and total disregard for the human rights of those millions who live in the land it administers and occupies.
